NRUC Youth Rodeo

Events will be held at The Norman Round Up Club

Located between Robinson and Alameda on 60th

 

Youth rodeos sponsored by the Norman Round-up Club

will be held on May 9, June 20, Aug 1, Aug 29, Sept 12, & Oct 3;

Starts nightly at 7 pm

 

The youth rodeos have something for all the youth in the family and provides hours of enjoyment for both young and old. We look forward to seeing you in 2009. Several events even require no horse to participate.

  • Calf Riding
  • Team Roping
  • Tie Down Roping
  • Tie down on dummie
  • Goat tie on dummie
  • Breakaway Roping
  • Barrel Racing
  • Pole Bending
  • Boot Scramble
  • Mutton Bustin'
  • Stick Horse Barrel Racing
  • Mail Race

 

For Boot Scramble the little ones 5 and under even get to participate free of charge.

Rough stock riders must reserve by Wednesday before rodeo.

Rules for Participation

  • You must be a member of the Norman Roundup Club before the May 9th event.
  • You must attend a majority of the events to qualify for buckles ect...
  • All rough stock participants will be required to wear helmet and protective gear.
  • Western attire is required for both participants and those helping with the rodeo.
  • There will be no exceptions to these rules.
  • Birth Certificates must be provided at first Rodeo; age determined as of 1/1/09 
  • Fees are $5 TO $20 plus stock charge
  • Norman Round Up Club not responsible for accidents and reserves the right to refuse grounds entry to anyone.
